Sweet Faces!

What a great class we have this year! Their smiling faces would give anyone a lift! Please make sure you sign up for an SEP time soon-the time is going by quickly.
We are moving on in Math to working with numbers on a 100 chart so that we can see relationships between numbers. Greater, less than, before, between and other great vocabulary words help us see these numbers as they relate to other numbers. Please help your student finish up the October Math Homework packet by the end of next week. We will be expanding our math facts to higher numbers and working to gain automaticity so that math is easier (and more fun!)
This week in Reading Street we will be learning about working together in history, primarily Abraham Lincoln. Here is the Study Skills Page...
Second Grade Weekly Study Skills
Unit 2, Week 2 (Abraham Lincoln)

Below are the skills and vocabulary we will be working on for the next 5 days.  (*Please note: our literacy lessons are based on 5-day plans that may or may not align with a M-F schedule. In an effort to teach the entire grade level core, we will send home the “weekly study skills” on the day that we begin a new 5-day instructional sequence.)  You can support your child’s literacy skills by reviewing, discussing, and practicing the skills and concepts below:
