Autumn is Awesome!

Hello Miss Cox!
Some of you may know Jocelyn Cox (she is Joni in the office's daughter) She is a student intern in our class on Fridays. We love having her with us for the fall term.
We have been working on place value this week (and next) in math. This is a key concept for our second graders. I have been using a wonderful website during center time I want to share with you. http://nlvm.usu.edu/
It is the National Library of Virtual Manipulatives. Go to Grades PreK-2, then Base Blocks, click on show a problem. Great math practice!
Finally, our new spelling words: play, hay, mail, sail, train, they, great, wait, mine, vine, whine, shine, duck, truck, luck, yuck. Bonus: Thanksgiving, Mayflower, Pilgrims, thankful
